Here is an example of a clean workswitch installation on a SeedMaster toolbar. Adding a workswitch to a CAN-ART system automatically cancels the alarms (red screen) when you lift the toolbar for turning or passing over a pot hole.

Installation first requires a sensor breakout cable, Agtron part number 9ART03600, which provides inputs for up to three sensors (fan/shaft/speed/work/bin...). The breakout cable can be installed between the CAN-ART ECU and y-cable or behind the y-cable.

The sensor used here is a reed switch sensor that closes when the magnet mounted on the frame bracket is in front of the sensor's face (lifted position). Agtron's reed switch sensors need the magnet to be mounted approx. 1/2 inch or less from the sensor. Use Agtron part number AGSH00100 (20 foot long cable) or AGSH00200 (6 foot long cable).

You must also program which input on the ECU this sensor has been installed on. If the breakout cable is installed on the loop 1 cable, the input channel will be 4,5, or 6. If the breakout cable is installed on loop 2, the input channel will be 7, 8, or 9. The input numbers are labelled on the breakout cable. Check your manual for detailed instructions on how to assign the input channel to be a workswitch.
